Photo-shoot images

These are some of the photographs I have took of (Yasmin) who modelled for IND magazine.

Notes for Jounalism DPS.


  • You get marked on your written english for example, punctuation, grammar, syntax and mode of address. Targeting a specific audience, drawing on genre, music industry.
  • Interview based piece with your cover star
  • 1st person, commentary based piece: beginning (background to artist; setting); middle: interview (Q&A) short introduction and a conclusion to summarise the whole interview.
  • Make your writing interesting.
  • Create a backstory. 
  • personality of the artist.
  • Make sure your DPS is interesting so that it can efficiently sell.
  • It is not an essay you are catering to a youthful audience, make sure the language is appropriate.

Concept: The photo-shoot is to have an authentic indie vibe to it, where the model is supposed to have a strong body posture, the image is to be a face shot however this may change during the shoot.

Photoshoot notes

Media photo-shoot notes.
Additional shoots for contents page & DPS.
White back drops that could be changed to grey. (Has to be arranged)
Using Trinity flash lights.
Umbrellas diffuses or softens the light.
Test button: tests the flash light. 
Beeps means that it has took the photo.
Plus button : max 6 min 1
6 being most powerful. 
Air bracket to adjust the height of the the flash light. 

Godox: remote control system. Transmitter sends the signal. Off = B 
All the items work with infra red automatically.
Shutter: silver button
Beep : automatic (ready to take a shot)
Look through the view finder.
A: automatic 
M: manual
Focus is locked.
Press manual to adjust the focus of the shot.
A & S = where the white line shows 
A : aperture 
S : shutter 
Don't use auto function. 
Shutter: how fast or slow it captures.
Eye button to see the picture.
Set the camera to black and white if wanted.
When photographing turn the lights off 
Have them about 6 feet away from the backdrop. Unless you want them bleached up.
